ABOUT RYNE

RYNE AUSTIN BRIDGES

April 18, 1988  -  December 17, 2022

Ryne was a sport’s lover from the moment he could walk. His love of sports carried throughout his entire life. In Ryne’s early years he could be found on a field or court, playing football, basketball and baseball. And if he wasn’t playing, he could be found watching his older brother, Rafe. When Ryne entered high school it was no surprise that he would continue playing the three sports he loved. Ryne played football, basketball and baseball his entire high school career, excelling at each. Ryne’s determination, competitiveness, and love for the game made him the athlete he was. In addition, to being a great athlete he was an ideal student, finishing high school with perfect attendance. In 2011, he graduated from Frostburg State University with a degree in business. In 2023, Ryne was inducted into the Winter’s Mill High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a diehard Ravens, Orioles and Maryland fan.

Ryne was an exceptional athlete, but he was an even better person. He loved his family with his entire heart. If you were Ryne’s friend, you were his family and he treated you as such. He was his mom and dad’s pride and joy. He idolized his brother Rafe and the feeling was mutual. He protected his little sister Rhe and looked after her from the moment she was born. Ryne loved being with his nephews and niece, being the fun uncle, as he was a big kid himself. Ryne could make you cry from laughing so hard, his personality was unmatched. He had a heart of gold, always offered a shoulder to cry on and had a smile that could light up any room. To know Ryne was to love him and he will forever be missed.
